Couples Taking Separate Golf Vacations
A new trend among younger couples has emerged in the world of golf: Couples are now beginning to take separate golf resort vacations. The popularity of golf combined with the ease of use that comes naturally with a pre-arranged golf vacation has simplified the process down to a simple phone call or internet booking procedure. Sounds kind of strange that couples are taking separate vacations but let's look at some of the reasons and benefits of doing so.
Chief among the reasons for taking a different golf vacations is the convenience factor. Couples are extremely busy these days and few actually adhere to the 'traditional' idea of the husband working while the wife stays home to tend to the children and home. And gone with the traditional family setup are the traditional schedules. Now, both the husband and wife typically have very busy schedules and it seems more and more rare that both can take off simultaneously. And, since golf resorts often offer the option of pairing the vacationer with other players in the form of twosomes or threesomes, this makes the separate vacation even smarter.
Secondly, couples are now under more pressure than ever. Typically, their days are longer and nights shorter. This creates an immense amount of stress. Couples are beginning to have more children and this only adds to the responsibilities. Pair that with the economy and stress of possibly losing a house or defaulting on a credit card and now we are looking at the perfect storm of stressful situations. While many would consider a golf resort vacation as a luxury at this point, others would profess that they are necessary to keep one's own sanity. High pressure from today's world causes couples to take separate golf vacations from time to time.
Included in this life pressure is (unfortunately) the spouse. Yes, even happily married couples can find it refreshing to be able to enjoy a bit of privacy from time to time. Many argue that this actually strengthens the relationship. If you find yourself arguing with your partner more and more frequently then perhaps you might consider taking a separate golf resort vacation as an alternative to the typical golf vacation package.
Separate golf outings can also solve one of the age old arguments when it comes to travel: where to go and what to do. By taking separate golf holidays, then each person can go where they want! End of the arguing. This can also be applied to the other slight disagreements that take place during the average golf vacation such as what to do a particular day or where to eat or what golf course to play. Separate golf resort vacations solves all of these problems.
Understand that this is certainly not a solution for every couple but I did at least want to introduce you to the concept and some of the perceived benefits of the separate vacation. And, it doesn't have to be golf related, but the golf aspect surely adds the flexibility to still get partied with a group and has some quality options that can be enjoyed.

I think separate vacations are great ideas especially if the couple have different levels of golf training. This could be a great opportunity for them to go with their friends maybe take a golf lesson or two and enjoy the experience along with the destination. Throw in a spa treatment or night on the town and it becomes a great separate vacation and everyone is happy.
